NMS provide two Diallers the Adaptive Progressive Dialler and the Adaptive Predictive Dialler. Both of these products dial through your existing PBX (telephone system) using a CTI link. NMS products have been tested with a range of telephone systems from manufacturers such as 3COM, Avaya, Alcatel, LG, Mitel, Panasonic, Samsung and Siemens.
So what is the difference between the Progressive Dialler and the Predictive Dialler? Both products automate the outbound dialling process, however they do it subtly differently. The Progressive Dialler waits until a user becomes available before placing a call on their behalf. The Predictive Dialler - 'predicts' when the user is going to become available and starts dialling before the user has finished their current call.
What does this mean to you? If you have high contact rates (B2B, existing customers, good data) and low numbers of agents (less than 6) then the Progressive Dialler is probably for you. If you have a low contact rate (B2C, Debtors, poor data) and a high number of agents then the Predictive Dialler is probably better suited. If you're not sure, give us a call.
